2022 MLK Weekend Celebration @ AAMP!
Voter Registration Drive with the Philadelphia City Commissioners Office and the League of Women Voters
The African American Museum in Philadelphia and Citizens invite audiences to join us at the Museum for a full weekend of enriching, fun, inspirational, family-friendly activities celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Thanks to the generous support of the Citizens Charitable Foundation, all 2022 MLK Weekend Celebration programs will be free and open to the public.
Themed "Grassroots and Grand Strategies," this year's event will highlight the continuum of individual and collective efforts to promote equity, celebrate and facilitate generational advancement, and protect the mental and spiritual wellbeing of historically oppressed peoples. AAMP will host Service Project – Voter Registration Drive with the Philadelphia City Commissioners Office and the League of Women Voters Commissioners Office. This non-partisan voter registration drive is designed to provide assistance and information to people interested in registering to vote, or checking their registration status and eligibility. Attendees will be able to ask officials and informed volunteers about absentee ballots, ballot measures, early voting options, ID requirements, online voter registration, and more!
When on-site we ask that visitors age 3+ present with a face mask upon arrival; however, if you happen to forget 1 single-use face mask will be available upon entry.
