Disruption: Poetry & Open Mic at AAMP

This event is no longer on sale.

Friday November 16

7:00 PM  –  9:00 PM

Join AAMP on Friday, November 16, for an evening poetry and performance curated by Philadelphia poet and educator, Nina “Lyrispect” Ball. Along with an open mic interspersed throughout the night, the November installment of Disruption features poetry by Rienne Jahnai, Jacob Winterstein, Evita Colon and Lyrispect, along with dance and vocal performance by Kingsley Ibeneche.

This month’s showcase invites our featured performers, open mic poets and audience to explore and consider the theme, “Thriving in the Midst” -- complementing AAMP’s current exhibition Cotton: The Soft Dangerous Beauty of the Past. Don’t miss this incredible night of spoken word and poetry at AAMP. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the program kicks off with the open mic at 7:30 p.m. The performance showcase follows.
