We can’t wait to see you!

Join AAMP as we continue our partnership with Franklin Square to bring you Griot Tale Saturdays! on fourth Saturdays, now through November. A griot is an African oral historian that passes on their culture through the practice of storytelling. Perfect for families, this event will be outdoors and socially distant to keep all participants safe.
This month AAMP celebrates Gospel Music Heritage Month on Saturday, September 25th, with a special Griot Tales Saturdays! performance featuring music and stories with Text Rich Ali. An audience favorite at AAMP and across the region, Ali employs a range of musical genres and instruments to explore the evolution of Black culture through creative expression.
Head over to neighboring Franklin Square at 200 N. 6th St. on the fourth Saturday at 1 p.m. to listen and learn!
